During the whole journey

During the whole journey nostalgia never did part with me
I do not say it was like my shadow
It was close by in the darkness
I do not say it was like my hands or feet
When one sleeps one loses one’s hands and feet
I did not lose nostalgia not even during my sleep
During the whole journey nostalgia never did part with me
I do not say it was like hunger or thirst or the desire for freshness in swelter or heat in frost
It was something that cannot reach satiety
It was neither joy nor sadness
It was not linked to cities clouds songs or memories
It was in me and outside of me.
During the whole journey nostalgia never did part with me and of this journey nothing is left, if not this nostalgia.
